VoR videos & the global warming debate

A few days ago I (Mike) created a “Featured Video” section for the front page, and included this video:
The Great Global Warming Swindle
This film by the documentary-maker Martin Durkin presents the arguments of scientists and commentators who don’t believe that CO2 produced by human activity is the main cause of climate change.
In response, a VoR listener wrote me the following email:
If there is anyone more maligned than white Europeans it has to be environmentalists. Unfortunately I am both white and an environmentalist. What does dismissing the science of global warming have to do with white identity? Please post this link as a counter weight to video “The Great Global Warming Swindle”. It is unnecessary to alienate environmentalists, many of who are strongly opposed to immigration? Some big businesses fund think tanks to deny global warming as they probably support immigration to the United States to keep a cheap pool of labor. Please show the other side of this issue.
He suggested the following two videos, which I am posting here in the spirit of balance and open debate:
The Denial Machine
In the past few years, a rhetorical firestorm has engulfed the debate about global warming, pitting science against spin, with inflammatory words on both sides. That debate only intensifed recently when former Vice-President Al Gore received the Nobel Peace Prize for his populist environmental campaign.
Answering Climate Change Skeptics, Naomi Oreskes
A presentation based off of her recent book, Merchants of Doubt: How a Handful of Scientists Obscure the Truth about Climate Change. Naomi Oreskes, author and professor of history and science studies, University of California, San Diego.
From the University of Rhode Island’s Spring 2010 Vetlesen Lecture Series, People and Planet Global Environmental Change. March 2, 2010.

Great Job Mike.
>> What does dismissing the science of global warming have to do with white identity?
Global warming is constantly used to reinforce the stigma attached to fertility (especially in Europe, the heart of white identity).
The only argument for immigration that has any merit is that immigrants are needed to replace the shortage of (white) young people that is a result of the influence feminists and environmentalists have had on our culture (it’s a virtue to be concerned about the health of our ecological systems, but that concern, like so many other things, has been perverted into self-destructive behavior).
Global warming is also often racialized (by idiots like Van Jones) into “look at how the evil white people destroyed the earth forever by exploiting the poor, helpless indigenous peoples.”
>> Some big businesses fund think tanks to deny global warming
The amount of money spent to generate support for GW is orders of magnitude larger than the money spent to refute it.
Look who’s supporting Cap & Trade: Goldman Sachs, George Soros, etc.
According to the ‘credible’ science, global warming is something that might happen decades in the future, and might have some nasty consequences. Meanwhile, we (white people) face existential threats in the here and now.
Great job keere.
I’d also add that environmentalism is used as a form of population control. Not just in the sense of limiting the population by reducing fertility, but as a means of herding the population into easier-to-control large population centers where people won’t be able to farm and/or ranch or otherwise produce their own food and thus will be wholly dependent on the state for sustenance.
Just a thought… If global warming laws end up preventing the 3rd world from industrialization. Wouldn’t that be beneficial.
I am the VoR listener who wrote in and provided the links. I cannot express how much gratitude I have that the VoR staff posted my concens and views on this critical topic. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I will give a more detailed response to “The Great Global Warming Swindle” and the thoughtful responses listeners gave on the topic but I must first do research, research, and more research, so that I may post an intelligent and rational response that respects the VoR audience and meets their high expectations.
