Jamie reads a classic Instauration review of Bob Whitaker’s “A Plague on Both Your Houses” from Nov. 1976. The crucial Supreme Court decision of Wickard vs. Filburn of 1942 is studied in the light of Rand Paul’s January 2010 Senate campaign speech in which Dr. Paul repeats Bob Whitaker’s prophetic imprecation of 34 years ago. Wickard vs. Filburn was the turning-point decision in which the Commerce clause of the Constitution was absurdly expanded to put the Federal government over economic activity of any kind.
