On today’s show, Dec. 21, 2009, Jamie Kelso talks with special guest Stan Hess, of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Jamie and Stan talk about their recent patriot trip to visit the boyhood home of Charles A. Lindbergh in Little Falls, Minnesota. Also talked about are their stays in Minnesota to visit the Kensington Runestone near Lindbergh’s home. And then to participate in the 2,000th anniversary celebration in New Ulm, MN of the victory of Hermann the German’s army over three Roman legions at Teutoberg Forest in 9 AD. Other subjects covered are the Solutrean hypothesis according to which the first people in North America were Europeans 19,000 years ago.

I perceieve Mister Kelso as the antidote, perhaps cure would be the better word, for the communicable and fatal disease of National Public Radio. I would like Mister Kelso to record bits of sick propaganda from the shows on NPR. Play them on his show. And then deliver his characteristically insightful critiques against the smut on NPR. Is that a good idea?
Great show mister Kelso! However, to look at Herman as a great hero is a little bit misleading.
Herman was a commander of German auxiliaries in the Roman army. He was also a friend of Varus, the Roman general defeated in the battle. And he was able to defeat the Romans by treachery! Herman sent an emissary to Varus for help claiming that he is in danger. Varus moved to help his friend (Herman) and was trapped in a forest where the three legions were destroyed. Some historians claim that after the first day of battle in the forest, Varus refused to believe that Herman has anything to do with the ambush!
