This was a good show, Carolyn!
I liked it even more than your December 13th show.

So, they had a “reservoir” for the “fire brigade” at Auschwitz?
    How thoughtful of them.
But it was disguised as a swimming pool!

The “gas chamber” was disguised as a “shower room” to lure the Jews into it.
If you’ll read F.P.Berg’s “Typhus and the Jews”, it will be easy to see that trying to lure Polish Jews into a room disguised as a shower, would be like trying to lure a Vampire with a Crucifix!
Like luring a rabid dog with a bowl of water!

Some people might think these remarks are “anti-semitic”, but they’re not.
No, an “anti-semitic” remark would go something like this:
“If the “Nazis” wanted to lure the Jews into the “gas chamber”, they would have disguised it as a sewer!” ; )

In many European countries, if you doubt that soap was made of “sacred lard”, you can be charged with “defaming the memory of the Suds”.
If you deny that lampshades were made of “holy hide”, you can go to prison for “Household Appliance Denial”!

Thanks Steve F — you have me laughing.

The Dec.13 show was a lot of information squeezed into 30 minutes, while this one was more leisurely. Easier listening. Probably better not to be too ambitious over the radio, but I’ve always set high goals for myself. :-))

    Hi, Carolyn!

If you ever do another radio show about your book, I think it would be a good idea to name all the amenities in Auschwitz all in one sentence, and then go back and comment on certain ones.
That way, it’s more of a “wake-up call” to people who are not aware of these things.

    I’m glad your laughing, Carolyn!
We have to laugh sometimes; we can’t let them take that from us.

In Mark Twain’s “The Mysterious Stranger”, Satan said:

“Your race, in its poverty, has unquestionably one really effective weapon – laughter. Power, money, persuasion, supplication, persecution – these can lift at a colossal humbug – push it a little – weaken it a little, century by century; but only laughter can blow it to rags and atoms at a blast. Against the assault of laughter nothing can stand. You are always fussing and fighting with your other weapons. Do you ever use that one? No; you leave it lying rusting. As a race, do you ever use it at all? No; you lack sense and the courage.”
